A recent release by the Cancer Prevention Coalition points out the dangers of formaldehyde in clothes and cosmetics. Especially wrinkle free clothing is burdened with formaldehyde. But Prof. Epstein also points out that though one finds formaldehyde in cosmetics only occasionally, that can be deceptive because there are at least eight common ingredients of cosmetics and body products that are precursors of formaldehyde, which means they can turn into formaldehyde if the circumstances are right.

 

This study was to evaluate the concentrations of mercury and other metals found in amalgams in wastewater of dental clinics.  Conclusion of the study was that the values of mercury and other metals were much higher than the limits allowed.
