4.) Canada: Soon to be Alternative Medicine wasteland?
The pharmaceutical companies can just not let it be. If only the use of vitamins and other agents proven to be not harmful yet of great benefit were restricted, they could capitalize on your poor health. An attempt to lobby the US into being more restrictive about vitamins and minerals a few years ago backfired: Proof was presented that vitmains and minerals are completely harmless and restriction completely unnecessary, and congress decided that this field should be more liberalized.
Now they are trying the same game in Canada. It is a threat for all alternative medicine in Canada, yet maybe Canadians will be able to make lemonade out of lemons by achieving the same the Americans have achieved. "I have suffered from fibromyalgia, first diagnosed in 1971; to the degree that Social Security deemed me disabled in 1998.
